Delta makes a late comeback to edge Palisade

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Delta trailed 5-2 entering the fifth inning against the reigning WSL champion Palisade Bulldogs, but the Panthers found a way to pull out a 6-5 win on Tuesday afternoon.

Cody Krabbe was cruising through the Panther line-up entering the fifth, but Delta put up a two-out run in the fifth, and three two-out doubles in the sixth to take the late lead. Christian Kathrein had the game-winning double scoring Chris Lopez. Michael Patton got the win with a complete game, 10 strikeout effort. The game kicked off league play for the 2011 season.
