FMHS volleyball surprised by low seeding

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Looking at the records of the 5A district playoff teams, Fruita would appear to be a shoo-in for a top 10 seed and possibly a host team. Instead, CHSAA gave the Wildcats a shockingly low No. 22 seed.

Only three of the 21 teams ahead of FMHS (17-2) have a better record than the Wildcats. Nonetheless, Fruita will play in Ponderosa for the District 3 playoffs starting on Saturday Oct. 30.

In the 4A, Durango, Delta, and Palisade will play in the District 8 playoffs starting Oct. 30 in Durango.

Video to follow.
