GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Palisade, Delta, Montrose, and Durango all earned bids on Wednesday for the 4A baseball state playoffs.
After a 17-2 season, the Bulldogs of Palisade garnered the 9th seed of the state playoffs. Palisade will compete in the District 2 tournament to start their playoff run. That tournament will be hosted by Evergreen High School. The Bulldogs face 24th-seeded Lewis Palmer in the 1st round on Saturday at 12:30pm.
Durango earned the state's 5th seed and the right to host the District 4 tournament. Durango will face 28th-seeded Delta in the opening round on Saturday at 10:00am.
The runner-up in the SWL, Montrose, will host the District 6 tournament as the 7th seed in the state. The Indians play (28) Glenwood Springs to begin the tournament on Saturday at 10:00am.
