GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Delta Panthers won the battle of the Panthers as they knocked off 2A Montezuma-Cortez 24-14 for their first victory of the season.
Delta (1-1) leaned on Alex Standish in the first half as put up a couple highlight-reel runs and a few sacks on defense. Delta showed complete control right away as they intercepted a pass from Cortez and then turned it into a field goal.
Delta will travel to Coal Ridge next Friday at 7 p.m.
