GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Delta Panthers put up their best offensive show of the season with a 37-14 win on homecoming night.
Delta (3-2, 1-1) got their first league win of the season with the victory over Steamboat Springs. The Panthers took a 16-7 lead into the half, and were relentless to start the third quarter.
Taylor Smith set the second half tone with an impressive interception. The Panthers took advantage on their ensuing drive by charging 70 yards for the 23-7 lead.
Delta will travel to Eagle Valley next week to take on the Devils on Oct. 7.
