Palisade ends regular season with win over Delta

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The first time Luke McLean stepped on the field Friday night, his team had a 14-0 lead. Jam'r Rhodes returned the opening kick-off for a touchdown and Connor Charlesworth returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown to pace Palisade to a 28-14 win over Delta in a 3A WSL game at Stocker Stadium.

Delta (5-5, 3-4) is likely eliminated from the 3A playoffs. No. 2 Palisade (9-1, 6-1) finished 2nd in league play behind Glenwood Springs. The Bulldogs will likely play their first playoff game next weekend at Stocker Stadium.

Playoff seedings for 4A, 3A, and 2A will be released on Sunday.
