Aspen, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado Mountain College officials say they
expect to complete their investigation into a discrimination
complaint by mid-November. Channing Seideman, who has epilepsy, filed the complaint accusing faculty members of mishandling a seizure she had during class at the Aspen campus. Her complaint says that after her second seizure in three semesters, the college emailed her that the incidents were reaching a point where it could ask her to drop classes. Her complaint asked that three faculty members be placed on leave while an investigation takes place. Colorado Mountain College officials say privacy laws limit what
they can say about the complaint. The Aspen Times reports
the school has released a statement saying it has a strong commitment to providing equal educational opportunities to all students.
