MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - Only eligible electors who reside within or who or whose spouse own property within the District limits of Palisade Rural Fire Protection District will be eligible to vote on the following issue.
SHALL THE PALISADE RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT REAL PROPERTY TAXES BE INCREASED BY AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $66,298.00 IN THE FIRST FULL FISCAL YEAR, AND BY AN AMOUNT RAISED THEREAFTER BY THE IMPOSITION OF AN ADDITIONAL AD VALOREM TAX OF 3.00 MILLS COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2011 AND CONTINUING EACH YEAR THEREAFTER, WHICH INCREASE SHALL BE FOR EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND FACILITIES FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT, EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND RESCUE OPERATIONS; AND SHALL THE DISTRICT BE AUTHORIZED, SO LONG AS IT DOES NOT RAISE THE ADDITIONAL MILL LEVY ABOVE 3.00 MILLS, TO COLLECT, RETAIN AND SPEND ALL TAX REVENUE COLLECTED FROM THE ADDITIONAL TAX RATE, WITHOUT LIMITATION OR CONDITION, AND WITHOUT LIMITING THE COLLECTION, RETENTION OR SPENDING OF OTHER DISTRICT REVENUE, TAXES OR FUNDS NOTWITHSTANDING ANY REVENUE OR EXPENDITURE LIMITATION CONTAINED IN ARTICLE X, SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION, SECTION 29-1-301 OF THE COLORADO STATUTES OR ANY OTHER LAW?
