GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) JG Management Systems (JGMS) and Rocky Mountain Sanitation are included in the 2012 Inc. magazine listing of the 5,000 fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. JGMS ranks 4,162nd. Rocky Mountain Sanitation ranks 4,974th. Inc. magazine long has compiled a list of the 500 fastest-growing U.S. companies and recently expanded the list to 5,000. Rankings are based on revenue growth over the past three years. Fourteen Colorado companies made the latest Inc. 500 list, while 138 firms made the Inc. 5,000 list.
JGMS, a firm that offers a wide range of management and consulting services, reported $8.2 million in annual revenue in 2011, a 31 percent increase over three years ago. Staffing has grown by more than 40 percent over that same span to 70.
JGMS ranks 239th among government services firms that made the Inc. 5000 listing. JGMS has made the Inc. listing in five out of the last six years, ranking 343rd in its inaugural appearance in 2007.
Jerome Gonzales launched JGMS in 2001, drawing on his experience with the Energy Department to secure contracts with government agencies.
Today, the firm works for government and private-sector clients across the U.S. with services that range from engineering analysis and design to facility assessments to project and program management.
Rocky Mountain Sanitation, a firm that provides trash removal and other services to residential and commercial customers, reported $3.1 million in revenue in 2011, a 6 percent gain over three years ago. The firm employs 21 people, up three over that same span.
Rocky Mountain Sanitation ranks 68th among environmental services companies on the Inc. list. Rocky Mountain Sanitation has made the Inc. list for six consecutive years, ranking the highest at 4,196th in 2009.
Lisa and Loren Mullen started Rocky Mountain Sanitation in 1997 with two trash trucks and one employee. Today, the company operates 16 trucks in serving 10,000 customers.
