Singer–songwriter Bob Dylan has a new title:. Pulitzer Prize winner.

He was awarded an honorary Pulitzer monday, for his –quote– "profound impact on popular music and american culture."

It's the first time the judges have recognized rock and roll, in the past favoring classical or jazz music.

The Pulitzers are awarded by Columbia University, to honor outstanding works of journalism and the arts.
