London (AP) London's Victoria and Albert museum says it's bought the original artwork for the Rolling Stones' famous “lips” logo.

The logo first appeared on the “Sticky Fingers” album and was inspired by singer Mick Jagger's mouth. The museum spent over $92,000 to buy the artwork at an auction.

London art student John Pasche came up with the design in 1970. He tells The Guardian newspaper the money will put his 11-year-old son in private school.

An official with the museum says the lips are “arguably the world's most famous rock logo.”
