New York (AP) - TLC says it has been ``trying privately and patiently for months'' to get Jon Gosselin to honor his contract.
The network that runs his reality show ``Jon & Kate Plus 8'' has sued Gosselin, claiming breach of contract. TLC says Gosselin has failed to meet his obligations as an exclusive employee of the network, while appearing on rivals' shows for pay and making unauthorized disclosures about the show.
He and his wife Kate Gosselin have become tabloid mainstays after Jon Gosselin was spotted with other women. The rumors gave way to marital turmoil, and ultimately the parents of twins and sextuplets filed for divorce.
TLC's lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages and demanding the return of income gained as a result of his alleged contract breeches.
Gosselin's attorney says he hasn't yet seen the filing.
The show's future, meanwhile, remains uncertain.
