CLIFTON, Colo. (KKCO) It happened late Saturday night at Corn Lake in Clifton. Police say 56 year old Michael Morris was highly intoxicated when officers and paramedics approached him. Officials had received reports of Morris passed out at a person's home off of 32 road earlier in the day. Reports say Morris screamed obscenities at authorities while they were trying to help him. He then punched a deputy while being loaded into an ambulance. Morris has been charged with felony second degree assault.

It is not safe anywhere these days. I cannot believe that there are people out there who defend this kind of person. More less people out there who think this is civilized behaviour. It is like a war zone in this valley, especially east of 29 road.
