GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) Congressman Scott Tipton and GOP state chairman Ryan Call held a meet and greet at the event. Afterwards, volunteers went door-to-door and made phone calls to reach local voters. The office will be open everyday from now until the November elections, and call says he expects it to be very busy.
"Its going to become a regional headquarters for the Western Slope and a base of operation for a lot of activity. Distributing yard signs and bumper stickers, but most importantly engaging people in that effort. We know that if are going to be successful in November, we need to run up the score here in Grand Junction," says Call.
The opening of this facility falls on the same day as the Republican national committee's super Saturday, which is a nationwide event.
The next Mesa County Republican party event will be a meet and greet in Palisade on July 12th.
