DURANGO, Colo. (KKCO) The "Stateline Fire" started around 3:45pm Saturday along U.S. Highway 550. Officials say the fire has burned 80 acres so far. It's threatening structures and well pads. Pre-evacuation orders are going out via reverse 911 to residents along the southern 3 miles of CR 213, La Posta Road. Firefighters at the scene say smoke is seriously obstructing visibility, and driving is unsafe at this time. Highway 550 was temporarily closed at the Colorado/New Mexico state line. Several agencies are fighting the fire.

My daughter came home to find her house was saved by the Firefighters, Angels They are; her neightbors house burned to the ground, her corrals & a hay barn are gone. Someone hauled out her horses, and the firefighters broke in her door & got her her dog out of the house. Thank you all in Bondad, and Thank God for those who care so much for others.

Drove by there about 30 minutes ago tonight on the way home. It's running the ridge and looks to be more than 80 acres. I can see it from the top of my road. Spot fires all over the slope but huge flames on top are not visible from below. Hope thay get it under control. Lots of houses and livestock in that area.
