Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. For joint filers, the payments will go out based on the person listed first on the return. Payments will be made by either direct deposit or paper check, consistent with how people filed their 2007 tax return

Apr 23, 2008 - Shooting Range Cleanup Volunteers Needed
The shooting range at 27 1/4 road, north of H road, will be closed today for clean up and maintenance.

During the clean up, no firearm use will be permitted from 7 am until dusk.

Firearms are also not allowed in the desert area surrounding the range.

The Bureau of Land Management is looking for some more volunteers to help paint and install signs today.

Two Glenwood Springs Middle School students are teaming up with Operation Vacation to raise money for soldiers and their families. Alida Eide and Dara Chase are collecting dollar bills to make a chain to span the length of a football field. A chain worth $6,000. All of the money would be donated to Operation Vacation.
