Additional Fire Starts In Gunnison County
An additional wildfire starts in Gunnison County while fire crews work to contain the Mile Marker 125 fire.

The fire was reported at 2:50pm Saturday near Crested Butte. The Brush Creek fire was started as a result of ditch burning on private land. It quickly moved onto National Forest System lands managed by the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest. Fire crews from several agencies are working to contain that fire. The Brush Creek Fire is currently estimated at 50 acres and 70% containment.
