Local teens can take a bigger role in their community and make sure local leaders hear their voice by joining the Mesa County Teen Leadership Commission.
The Commission is currently accepting applications for vacant seats during the 2009 to 2010 school year.
Qualified high schoolers interested in government and the future of their community are encouraged to apply.
Organizers say it's a chance to get involved and gain leadership experience.
The teens advise County Commissioners on important teen topics and put together a Youth Activity Guide.
Application forms and accompanying amterials are due by 5 p.m. Monday, May 11. For more information, click the link below or call 970-244-1640.
