Fruita Girls Fall at Home

FRUITA, Colo - The Fruita Monument girls basketball team was outscored 18-5 in the first quarter and lost 79-37 to the Thunderridge Grizzlies on Friday.

Thunderridge came into the Wildcat Invite ranked among the top 5 teams in Colorado. The Grizzlies' Brooke Jelniker led all scores with 23 points. Taylor Johnson led the Wildcats with 11 points followed by Mary McGee with 10.

The Wildcats play in the final game of the tournament, Saturday at 2:15 pm local time against Carbon County (UT). Thunderridge plays in the first of four games Saturday, versus the Grand Junction Tigers at 9:00 am.
