Mende, Nankervis Comine For 42 In Losing Cause

FRUITA, Colo. - Fruita Monument's Alex Mende scored a team high 22 points to go along with Brett Nankervis' 20 points, but the Wildcats still lost to the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans on Friday night 61-53.

The Wildcats girl's team played earlier in the evening but had an even tougher time losing by 16 points to the Trojans 48-32.

Fountain-Fort Carson will stay on the Western Slope to face the Grand Junction Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
