GRAND JUNCTION - Rex Clemons struck out nine batters in a complete game, one run Fruita Monument victory over the Central Warriors 6-1 on Wednesday night at Suplizio Field.
The Wildcats took the first step towards possibley becoming the first school to win the Southwestern League baseball title other than the Grand Junction Tigers in five years.
The Wildcats and Warriors have the rest of the week off. The Wildcats next game will be against the Tigers on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 p.m. at Suplizio Field.
