Wildcats Dominate In Shutout Win Over Conifer

GRAND JUNCTION - Last night's rivalry loss is already a distant memory.

The Fruita Monument baseball team recharged the batteries with a dominant mercy-rule win over the Conifer Lobos 13-0 at Canyon View Park on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wildcats were coming off a fresh loss to the Grand Junction Tigers on Tuesday night when they blew a two run lead in the final inning at Suplizio Field.

The Wildcats (1-1 SWL) were able to quickly move past the Southwestern League loss in Wednesday's non-league matchup with Conifer.

The Grand Junction Tigers will get a shot at Conifer on Thursday morning at 10:00 at Canyon View Park.

The Wildcats will hit the road this weekend for a pair of SWL games against the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers and the Durango Demons on Friday and Saturday.
