GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Central girls soccer team played to a scoreless tie against Fruita Monument in the first half of Thursday's rivalry game. Whatever was said at halftime in the Warriors' huddle worked.
Central's Stacey Kinnett broke away for a goal less than a minute into the second half to out the Warriors up 1-0.
Central added another goal less than five minutes into the second half, then added another goal and completed the shutout for a 3-0 win over the Wildcats in the Southwestern League rivalry game.
