Wildcats split, set to face Tigers in regional final

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - (KKCO) The Fruita Wildcats won their opener 6-1 over Ponderosa in the 5A CHSAA softball playoffs. They lost their second game 6-4 to Green Mountain. Both games were at Canyon View Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats pitched Erica Chirdon for both games.

Green Mountain advances to the State Tournament.

Fruita Monument is scheduled to play Grand Junction at 3 p.m. at Canyon View Park on Saturday afternoon.
