GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Fruita Monument's softball team is still tied with Grand Junction for the best record in league play.
The Wildcats beat the Central Warriors 20-4 on Thursday night. The Wildcats exploded for 12 runs in the fourth inning. Central didn't record an out in the inning until the tenth batter.
Fruita is 11-4 after the win and 7-0 in league play. After Thursday's loss, the Warriors are 8-8, 4-2.
These two teams will play again next Thursday.
