GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Rockies officially announced on Wednesday they will be hosting the inaugural Western Slope Baseball Camp in January of 2013.
The camp will take place on the weekend of January 4-6th in Grand Junction.
Colorado Rockies infielder Jordan Pacheco will be attending the event to help instruct the youth of the Western Slope.
Additional instructors include: Chris Hanks, CMU baseball head coach; Tony Diaz, the manager of the GJ Rockies; Rick Matthews, Rockies scout; Marv Foley, Rockies catching instructor; Ron Gideon, Rockies outfield instructor; Dave Hajek, Rockies outfield instructor; and Mark Strittmatter, Pittsburgh Pirates catching instructor.
The camp is open to players ages 9 years old through college.
The cost of attendance is $150/player if you register prior to the first day of the camp. Parents and coaches are welcome to observe.
