HS Wrestling: Fruita Monument with pin in final bout for win over Grand Junction


GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Grand Junction and Fruita Monument faced off in a local matchup with the Wildcats working to get back in the 5A rankings.

After trailing 15-6, the Wildcats came back with two straight pins for the lead, but it wouldn't be long before the Tigers made it a back-and-forth affair.

Grand Junction was up 36-33 into the final bout, that's when Fruita's Chase Clayton came away with the pin for the ultimate win 39-36.
