FMHS (4-6, 2-2) fell behind in this 5A consolation game 7-0 in the first quarter, but responded with a Vince Grasso 66-yard rushing touchdown on their first offensive play.
After Jacob Lynch intercepted a Heritage pass and returned it to the nine-yard line, Zach Thorpe threw a pick-six for a 95-yard touchdown. Heritage added one more score before the half to take a 21-7 lead. The Wildcats held the Eagles scoreless in the second half, but Fruita couldn't muster enough on offense.
