GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Fruita Monument Wildcats continued their stellar SWL play with a 43-0 win over the Durango Demons.
FMHS (3-3, 2-0) got the scoring started at the end of the first quarter when Vince Grasso sprinted 90 yards for a rushing touchdown. A slow-developing first half came to climax when Brandon Kubick caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Zach Thorpe. Fruita went into the half with a 15-0 lead and scored another 28 unanswered points in the second half.
The Wildcats' will take a quick break from league play when they travel to Loveland next week.
