HS HOOPS: FMHS programs off to hot start

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Fruita Monument Wildcats' basketball programs have won their first five games to bust out of the gates in the 2011-12 season.

The boys (3-0) swept through the Warrior Challenge. Drew Bridges scored 83 points in the three-day tournament and was named the Warrior Challenge MVP. They will head to the Ralston Valley Invitational on Dec. 7.

The girls (2-0) defeated Mullen and Niwot on the road to begin the year. Lauren LeBonde had 35 points on the weekend road trip. The girls return home this week to host the Wildcat Invite at Fruita Monument.
