GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Montrose Indians defeated Fruita Monument 2-1 and Grand Junction shut out Central 2-0 on Tuesday evening.

Fruita Monument (7-8, 6-4) trailed Montrose (11-0-3, 7-0-2) 1-0 at the beginning of the second half, but Peter Martinez headed in a corner kick for the equalizer for the Wildcats. The Grand Junction Tigers (2-8-3, 2-6-1) won their second straight game with a 2-0 win over Central (7-7, 4-5). Kyle Gibbons kicked off the scoring for GJHS.
