GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Heading into the bottom of the third inning, the Grand Junction softball team had to feel pretty good about the game going on across the way at Kronkright Complex. The Tigers needed Central to knock off Fruita Monument in order to have a shot at the SWL title.
Instead, the Wildcats erased a 6-0 deficit with a six-run third inning. They then went on to win the game, and the Southwestern League, on a walk-off RBI single by Maria O'Dell.
It's the second straight SWL title for Jamie Dunn and the Wildcats. It also ensures FMHS that they'll be participating in post-season play.
