GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Evan McDermott is keeping it in the family. The senior catcher for the Wildcats will take a page out of his father's book, and become an umpire after his days are done with high school baseball.

McDermott is in the best position to step into an umpire role not only because of his dad's background, but also because he has been a catcher for his entire Wildcats career. All he will have to do is move a couple feet back from the catcher's box.
