GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Fruita Monument Wildcats stand alone atop the SWL rankings for prep softball after Tuesday night.

Behind a complete game effort by senior Mallory Paulson in the pitching circle, the Wildcats defeated league rival Grand Junction Tuesday 10-2.

Paulson had 11 strikeouts in seven innings.

The Wildcats are now 8-0 in SWL play, the only team undefeated in league play this season.

The Tigers and Wildcats meet one more time before the regular season ends. That game is scheduled for next Tuesday at 7 pm.
