GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The week eight rankings for Colorado prep football aren't too different from previous weeks.

Palisade moved back into the top three in Class 3A, while Cedaredge and Hotchkiss stayed put in the fifth and seventh spots of Class 1A.

The wildcard rankings were also released for the first time this season on Monday.

As of now, Fruita Monument stands eight spots outside of the playoff picture. The Wildcats are in 40th and Class 5A only selects 32 teams to make it to the state playoffs.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction is 15th in those 5A wildcard rankings.

Classes 4A, 3A, and 2A all take 16 teams into their playoff tournaments.

In 4A, the Montrose Indians are currently 14th in wildcard points.

Palisade is ranked seventh in Class 3A.
