GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Week nine of high school football has the potential of sorting out a lot of playoff contenders for 2012 from the pretenders.
In the SWL, the Grand Junction Tigers need a win in their final regular season game, which is against Central, in order to lock up a postseason berth.
As for the WSL, the No. 9 Delta Panthers can make a lot of noise in Class 3A if they pull off an upset over No. 1 Rifle. And don't forget, No. 10 Palisade is bouncing back from a big loss to Delta with a formidable opponent in No. 5 Eagle Valley.
Needless to say, week nine could be the most dramatic of all weeks in western slope high school football.
