GRAND JUNCTION - The Grand Junction Tigers boys basketball team outscored the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers 45-6 in the first half on its way to a huge 75-37 win at home on Friday night.
The Tigers led 24-4 at the end of the first quarter and began the second quarter with a 17-0 run.
The win improves the Tigers record to 11-2 on the season.
The girls team dominated as well thanks to 23 points by Kershell Claussen in a 57-38 win over Cortez.
Both the boys and girls teams will host Durango on Saturday afternoon.
