GRAND JUNCTION - The Central Warriors girls basketball team had a tough time getting shots to fall in the second half on Tuesday night as the Grand Junction Tigers pulled off the upset 42-33 ending the Warriors 13 game win streak.
Central only made two field goals in the fourth quarter in the loss. Alaina Brennan led the team with 11 points while Karen Hayter scored five.
Three Tigers scored in double figures led by Brittany Berguin's 11 points. Lisa Hughes and Kershell Claussen each scored 10.
Emily Stark was a big factor in the final minutes scored five of her seven points down the stretch.
The Tigers final regular season game is on Friday night at Fruita Monument.
Central's last game is also on Friday when they host Montrose before starting the playoffs.
