GRAND JUNCTION - The Mesa State College soccer stadium was closed for business on Friday despite a scheduled soccer game between the Grand Junction Tigers and the Durango Demons.
The game was moved up two hours and changed to be played at Canyon View Park.
A new drain was being installed at the Mesa State soccer stadium while the Lady-Tigers lost by three goals to the Demons at Canyon View 4-1.
Also playing at Canyon View Park were the Fruita Monument Wildcats girls soccer team against the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers. The outcome for the Wildcats was more favorable with the 2-0 win over the Panthers.
