Tigers Thump Panthers To Open League Play

GRAND JUNCTION - The Grand Junction Tigers baseball team's average margin of victory this year is seven runs, and it wasn't much different on Friday afternoon. The Tigers opened Southwestern League play with a 12-1 win over the Montezuma-Cortez Panthers in five innings at Suplizio Field.

The Tigers have only lost one game this season improving their record to 10-1 overall, 1-0 in the SWL.

Grand Junction's next game is on Saturday morning against the Durango Demons.
