20 Year Coach Let Go, Students Protest Save Email Print

Bud Glover, a popular Grand Junction High School wrestling coach is being asked to tender his resignation.

Upon hearing the news, students at the school, including members of the wrestling team ,conducted a sit-in protest.

Some students estimate up to 50 students were part of the demonstration.

Glover was the assistant coach at the school for almost 20 years, until he became head coach last year.

Glover told 11 News he was let go because, "personal reasons with administration."

The school says there is no investigation on Glover. His contract is up after this year, and will not be renewed.
