Tigers Comeback To Beat Wildcats In Girls Soccer

GRAND JUNCTION - The Fruita Monument Wildcats scored first, but the Grand Junction Tigers netted the final two goals for the 2-1 win at the Mesa State Soccer Stadium on Thursday night.

Marcela Luca capped a nice run down the field by the Wildcats with the games opening goal. The drive started in their own keepers box as the Wildcats passed the ball with great precision before it found the wide open foot of Luca.

Approximately two minutes later the Tigers evened the score. Stephanie Drake got the ball right back after she threw the ball in and then sent a high arching kick that caught the keeper off her line for the equalizing goal.
