GRAND JUNCTION - The Grand Junction Tigers' season came to an end on Saturday as they lost their second game of the day, a 13-2 run rule decision in the 6th to the Legacy Lightning at Suplizio Field.
The Tigers made it to the second round with a 4-2 win over Grandview in their round one matchup. Conner Dixon threw a complete game to earn the win.
But Tiger Ace Geoff Baldwin was chased after just an inning and two-thirds of the second contest. He gave up four hits and five runs. Baldwin also hit a two run homerun for Grand Junctions only runs in the game.
The 21st ranked Lightning earned the right to play Grand Junction by defeating Lewis-Palmer 1-0 at Canyon View earlier in the day.
