DENVER (AP) - Littleton's Becca Huffer two-putted only seven times to shoot an even-par 72 to take the lead at the class 5a high schol girls' golf tournament at Raccoon Creek Golf Course.

Huffer finished fifth last year after winning the medal in 2006.

Four other players were tied for second place five shots back at 77, including defending champion Brooke Collins of Monarch, Bethany Buchner of Loveland, Robin Lee of Highlands Ranch and Melissa Martin of Central (G.J.).

Highlands Ranch lead the team scoring with 237, followed by Cherry Creek at 254, and Grand Junction at 257.
