MONTROSE, Colo. - So what if most of the Southwestern Conference is now 5A? The 4A Montrose Indians are still league champs.

Montrose wrapped up the SWC Championship on Friday with a 35-0 win over the Grand Junction Tigers. If the Indians defeat Durango next week, they will complete their league schedule with a perfect record.

If Montrose were to lose that game, they will end league play with a 3-1 record. Central also has a 3-1 conference record, but Montrose holds the head to head tie breaker.

The Demons host Montrose next week in the final week of regular season play.
