Grand Junction Baseball Wins Big

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Grand Junction baseball team held an 8-0 run after two innings on the way to a 11-0 over Uintah High (Utah) on Tuesday in the final game before the start of Southwestern League play.

The Tigers got on the scoreboard in the first inning when Geoff Baldwin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in Tim Gastineau.

The Tigers were leading 4-0 in the bottom of the second inning when Baldwin blasted a 3-run shot over the wall in right center to bring in Charlie Willett and Jayke Brock and build the lead to 7-0.

Junction added four more runs and Conner Dixon got the win for the Tigers who will face Durango and Cortez on Friday and Saturday respectively.
