GRAND JUNCTION - The Grand Junction Tigers opened their season against the Cottonwood Colts from Utah for the second year in-a-row, and for the second year in-a-row the Tigers lose. GJHS lost their first half lead to lose 30-20.
Junction came out hitting hard and running their offense with precision to take a 14-6 lead at the half. Quaterback Ross Koepsell threw two touchdowns in the first half, one to Jake Palmer and the other to Keoni Barawis.
The Tigers will be back on the field next week at Overland on August 31 at 7:30 p.m.
