GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Fruita Monument's boys golf team is heading to the State Tournament after recording the lowest team score at Regionals on Monday.

Fruita's Hunter Emerson, Will Berg, Troy Dangler, and Kelin Henke combined for a team score of 225 on Monday.

That was the lowest team round of the day, so all four boys will be going to State in the first week of October.

Donny Kinnaman and Greg Gibson of Grand Junction High and Preston Grandbouche of Central will be joining the Fruita team on the trip to State. All three qualified with their individual scores on Monday. Kinnaman recorded the lowest round of the day with a 72.
