Five local athletes sign to play college ball

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- It was a big day for five local high school athletes and Colorado Mesa.

Luke Ledebur (GJHS), Kane Gunther (PHS), and Audrey Steinkirchner (PHS) all signed their National Letters of Intent to play for Colorado Mesa. Ledebur is a tennis player, Gunther will be a guard for the men's basketball team, and Steinkirchner will be a middle or outside hitter for the women's volleyball team.

Garrett Harrison and Jamie Derrieux also signed their NLI's. Derrieux will play women's basketball at Northern Colorado while Harrison will play golf for Santa Barbara Community College.
