GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Grand Junction opened up their SWL play with a heated rivalry against the Fruita Monument Wildcats on Tuesday evening.
After the Wildcats put in four runs in the first, the Tigers were left playing catch up. It wouldn't be until the fifth, when they trailed 6-1, that they would come alive. Tristan Lafferty put in an RBI double, while both Owen Taylor and Kaleb Johnson drove in two runs to tie the game 6-6.
But that's when Grand Junction's rally came to an end and Fruita went on to score six unanswered for the 12-6 victory.
